A new version of the free program SystemeHD Works 24.07.30 from the company "Systeme Electric" for configuring and setting up controllers and expansion modules of the SystemeHD series, used in the automation of life support systems of buildings, has been presented.

The updated controller configuration program provides the ability to broadcast BACnet/IP traffic between subnets thanks to BBMD support. The software also implements functions for rebuilding BACnet object indices, updating controller firmware versions below 7.11, and a new tool for updating expansion module firmware. To simplify switching the bus to another port, SystemeHD Works 24.07.30 adds a function for changing the RS-485 port of the peripheral device bus, and the "Unload Configuration" icon appeared on the debug panel.

The free SystemeHD Works program is designed to configure automation controllers and expansion modules of the SystemeHD line within the framework of the operation of heating points, air conditioners, supply and exhaust ventilation and other engineering systems of buildings. The capabilities of the SystemeHD Works software include the creation of individual configurations and configuration of controllers to which various field equipment is connected as part of the building's life support systems, including sensors, room thermostats, HMI panels, frequency converters, as well as actuators (drives), etc.

The creation of the most flexible and powerful automation systems without increasing the cost of the project is possible on the basis of SystemeHD Works starting from version 24.07.30 due to the fact that the program for configuring controllers provides for the implementation of the BBMD (BACnet/IP Broadcast Management Device) function with support for Foreign Device Registration and BBMD Server. The ability to broadcast BACnet/IP traffic between subnets allows for easy scaling of solutions based on SystemeHD automation controllers even within complex geographically distributed systems without additional costs for BBMD equipment.

Ensuring compatibility of the SystemeHD Works development environment and controllers using firmware versions below 7.11 is implemented in this version of the software by generating a request to update the firmware of such controllers. A special tool is provided in the SystemeHD Works interface of version 24.07.30 to update the firmware of the HMxxxx expansion modules. At the same time, for the correct operation of the program itself, 32- or 64-bit Microsoft Windows 10/11 OS and the Microsoft .NET Framework software platform (4.5.2 or higher) are required for configuring the controllers, and administrator rights are required to install and run it.
