The reliable design of the rotary switch mechanism allows it to remain operational even in difficult climatic conditions and minimizes the risk of freezing when high humidity and low temperatures are combined. Due to this, the intercom with the "swing" switch is suitable for hands-free communication at industrial facilities throughout the country, including in the Far North.
Two flagship models of Linsis intercoms have received a new version with rotary "swing" switches: the general-purpose UPG-78 and the explosion-proof UPG-ExM-78. The first intercom (UPG-78) is designed for normal operating conditions, and the second model (UPG-ExM-78) is intended for explosive production facilities. Both models of intercoms are manufactured in a technologically advanced case made of reinforced durable plastic, which is particularly resistant to aggressive environments. Like other Linsis equipment for SGS and notification, they are made in Russia and have the necessary certificates for use at mining, processing, and manufacturing enterprises in various industries, in particular, on the territories of large industrial plants.
The main advantage of the rotary "swing" switches is the reduced risk of freezing, due to which the Linsys hands-free intercoms remain operational even in severe frosts with high humidity. The rotary switch can be easily activated even in the event of ice formation, by applying a slight physical effort. At the same time, the choice of the UPG-78 and UPG-ExM-78 models for equipping them with swing switches is not accidental: each hands-free intercom is suitable for use in any region of the country, including the Far North.
Additionally, the UPG intercoms support connection (UPG-ExM-78 – via an intrinsically safe circuit) of such equipment as a telephone handset, remote microphone (push-to-talk), etc., and are available in modifications with a nominal supply voltage of 48 V or 24 V, as well as with Ethernet, DSL or an analog interface for connection to the central equipment of the Linsys public address system. Due to this, using the Linsys public address systems, it is possible to build the most user-friendly and functional public address systems at various industrial facilities.
Along with the UPG-78 and UPG-ExM-78 models, Linsys also produces other hands-free intercoms. For example, the range of general industrial design intercoms includes vandal-proof wall-mounted stations UPG-38 for 5-12 buttons, UPG-28 for 1-6 buttons, UPG-17 for 1 or 2 buttons and UPG-01 for 1-12 buttons, which have a metal case with corrosion protection. The compact UPG-07 intercom is available in a desktop version, which is installed directly at the workplace of the operator of the industrial and technological hands-free communication system or the dispatcher.
