The ST-LR210 outdoor UHF reader by Smartec brand with a range of up to 5 meters was introduced to organize the most convenient controlled passage of vehicles
This UHF tag and card reader is equipped with a high-performance radio chip and a highly sensitive circularly polarized antenna to ensure stable reading of ISO-18000-6C and ISO-18000-6B passive identifiers throughout the operating range. It should be noted that the ST-LR210 is equipped with a Wiegand 26/34 interface (optional) for operation in ACS from various manufacturers, has an RS-232 port for integration into application applications and a relay output for external actuators.
The high sensitivity of the ST-LR210 reader, its noise immunity and reliability of UHF transponder recognition are ensured by the use of a high-performance radio chip - an analogue of the well-known M100 model. In addition, this reader is equipped with a highly sensitive circular polar antenna and provides UHF card and tag identification at 867.1 MHz. The password verification mode between the transponder and the reader itself allows you to further increase security, minimizing the risk of false alarms.
The 5-meter reading distance of UHF cards and tags makes the ST-LR210 an effective tool for controlling the passage of vehicles into areas with restricted entry, such as parking lots. At the same time, drivers do not need to get out of the car or even roll down the window for identification. For the competent organization of the passage of vehicles at a particular facility, the UHF tag and card reader provides the ability to adjust the range downward. It is worth noting that support for working with unique transponder TID codes allows the new reader to be used in access control systems with high security requirements.
With a choice of Wiegand 26 or 34 interfaces, the ST-LR210 can be used in an access control system that supports at least one of these formats. A three-wire bus is used to connect the reader to the system, and data transmission is carried out in short pulses and is initiated at the moment of detection in the range of the transponder device. In addition to the Wiegand output, the ST-LR210 is equipped with an RS-232 interface, which can be used by the UHF tag and card reader to integrate into third-party software applications and be used in logistics for tracking the movement of goods, in agriculture for tracking the movement of animals, etc.
Outdoor design with IP65 dust/moisture resistance class and operating temperature range from -35 to +60 °C ensure reliable operation of the reader in open spaces without additional protection. At the same time, the UHF tag and card reader can be mounted on a pole using the included bracket, which allows you to adjust its inclination to optimize the coverage area. Separately, we note the ST-LR210 has a relay output, to which external actuators can be connected and controlled using user software or by a signal from identifiers with a certain code.
