The Smartec line now includes the ST-AB015 handheld security detector for operation within the framework of alarm systems
The novelty is designed for manual activation and is used in case of an invasion or emergency for prompt notification. ST-AB015 is triggered by pressing two lockable buttons at the same time, which minimizes false alarms, and is unlocked with the key supplied with the detector. With the help of the terminal resistance selection function, the hand-held intrusion detector simultaneously monitors the integrity of the loop and the triggering of the alarm button. Additional advantages of the device are compact dimensions, a protected housing and a wide range of operating temperatures.
The principle of operation of the ST-AB015 detector allows you to minimize the risk of false alarms: it is activated only after two buttons are pressed simultaneously at the end of the case. At the same time, both buttons are equipped with a lock for reliable signal holding. Since this manual detector is part of the security alarm system, the alarm signal from it is sent to the central security console, duplicating automatic sensors and ensuring a prompt response from special services. After activation, the handheld intrusion detector can be easily returned to normal operation using the key included in the package.
The intrusion detector is capable of simultaneously monitoring the integrity of the loop and alarm triggering by supporting the selection of terminal resistances (EOL-resistors). Such a measure is necessary for a detailed analysis of the state of the circuit: during normal operation, the security manual detector registers the standard resistance, in case of a line break – increased, in case of a short circuit – decreased, and when activated by a button – a characteristic deviation (contacts are closed or opened). Limit values are set by means of the internal jumpers of the device.
High performance characteristics allow the ST-AB015 handheld detector to be operated in a wide range of temperatures (-10°C to +55°C) and humidity up to 90%, and the IP41 protection rating of the case ensures stable operation in rooms with normal dust and humidity. At the same time, the manual security detector has a compact size - only 75 mm in the largest dimension, its body is made of durable ABS plastic, and the front panel, on which the indicator window with an alarm flag showing the alarm is located, is made of stainless steel.
