Smartec's New Product Is The 5 MP Outdoor IP Video Camera STC-IPM5612 Rev.3 Estima With A Motorized Lens

The third generation Smartec Estima equipment line has been expanded with the STC-IPM5612 rev.3 Estima IP video camera, whose important features include a 5-megapixel resolution and a motorized 2.7-13.5 mm lens with P-Iris auto diaphragm.

For high-quality video shooting, the new product is equipped with a 5 MP Sony sensor, providing high resolution and sensitivity, is capable of forming a video image with a low noise level and uses adaptive IR illumination with an effective range of up to 50 m. Support for the SNMP protocol allows for simplified commissioning. It is worth noting that the 5 MP IP video camera has a cylindrical metal casing protected by IP66/IP67 classes and is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40 to +60 °C.

High sensitivity of the IP video camera – up to 0.008 lux – makes the STC-IPM5612 rev.3 Estima an effective tool for outdoor video surveillance systems, allowing you to generate 5 MP color video both in bright daylight and in fairly low light conditions. At the same time, the digital noise reduction filters (2D/3D DNR) implemented in the STC-IPM5612 rev.3 Estima allow you to compensate for artifacts in the image when there is insufficient light. Due to the use of the wide dynamic range function WDR (120 dB), the 5 MP 5 MP IP video camera uses several different exposures for each of the CMOS matrix lines and generates a final video balanced in brightness in conditions of contrasting lighting, backlighting or background illumination, etc.

The design features of the STC-IPM5612 rev.3 Estima model include a motorized 5 MP lens with a focal length range of 2.7-13.5 mm and built-in IR illumination with a maximum range of 50 meters and the ability to control the radiation power. The advantage of motorized optics is the support for remote adjustment of the focal length and focusing in the most accurate way without having to open the IP video camera case. With the help of the automatically adjustable P-Iris aperture, the IP video camera provides the best quality 5 MP images and optimal depth of field at any zoom and focus settings.

Implementation of 3-stream video transmission with individually adjustable parameters of resolution, frame rate and bit rate allows solving the main tasks of video surveillance at a specific site, including recording to the archive and remote viewing of both live and archived video. At the same time, the maximum resolution of the IP video camera is 5 MP, which corresponds to 2592x1944 pixels, frame rate 30 fps, and bit rate up to 16 Mbps. Support for modern video codecs (H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264 and MJPEG) allows for effective adaptation to the bandwidth of the network used and ensures optimal speed and quality of current display and recording.

The use of a cylindrical metal casing with IP66/IP67 protection classes and stable operation at temperatures from -40 to +60 °C allow these IP video cameras to be used in video surveillance systems in many regions of Russia. Thanks to the hinged mount of the housing to the standard bracket, the required viewing angle of the 5 MP model can be adjusted when installing it on both a horizontal (ceiling) and a vertical surface (wall). It is worth noting that the 5 MP STC-IPM5612 rev.3 Estima IP video camera is compatible with the STB-C62 mounting base and STB-A01 and STB-A03 adapters (purchased separately) for neat installation outdoors with the ability to conveniently disconnect the wiring, as well as mount on a pole and an external corner, respectively.
