Smartec Premiere - Budget 5 MP Outdoor Cylindrical IP Camera STC-IPM5640 OPTi with Analytics

expo electronica

The Smartec product line now includes compact cylindrical IP cameras STC-IPM5640 OPTi, which are designed for video surveillance in outdoor conditions, but can also be used indoors.

They have a case protected from external influences with IP66 and are operational at temperatures of -40…+60 °C. Using a highly sensitive Sony sensor, a fixed 2.8 mm lens and a built-in IR illuminator with a 30-meter illumination range, the outdoor cylindrical IP camera can generate and broadcast high-quality video with a resolution of 5 MP at 30 fps around the clock. In addition, the STC-IPM5640 OPTi supports D-WDR, 2D/3D DNR and PoE technologies, and is also equipped with video analytics functions.

ONVIF support release 17.06 allows easy integration of STC-IPM5640 OPTi cylindrical IP cameras into various IP video surveillance systems controlled by recorders and VMS programs. At the same time, the outdoor cylindrical IP camera provides video broadcasting in H.265 and/or H.264 formats with a resolution of up to 5 MP (2592x1944 pixels), a maximum frame rate of 30 fps and a bit rate from 0.5 to 8 Mbps, which allows it to effectively adapt to the bandwidth of the network used and provide different speeds and quality of current display and recording.

The video analytics built into the STC-IPM5640 OPTi provides automatic detection of moving objects, people and vehicles in the monitored area – one of the basic functions of video surveillance. In addition, this outdoor cylindrical IP camera supports the license plate capture mode, which can be used in combination with the software. To ensure the privacy of individual sections of the outdoor video surveillance scene, such as the windows of residential buildings and hotels, keyboards of bank terminals, etc., the cylindrical IP camera allows you to superimpose "virtual masks" on the image.

The outdoor version ensures stable operation of the STC-IPM5640 OPTi IP camera in difficult climatic conditions at temperatures from -40 to +60 °C. The cylindrical body of the new product meets the high protection class of the IP66 shell and reliably protects the electronics, optics, IR illuminator and other components of the IP camera from dust and moisture. Due to this, as well as the presence of lightning protection (up to 4000 V) and the "anti-fog" mode, the outdoor cylindrical IP camera STC-IPM5640 OPTi is ideal for use in most regions of the country at facilities requiring general video surveillance.

24-hour video monitoring and illumination of the monitored sector in the dark at a distance of up to 30 meters are provided by IR LEDs built into the cylindrical housing of the STC-IPM5640 OPTi. To obtain a balanced image in terms of brightness and contrast in conditions of contrasting lighting, backlighting or background illumination, the outdoor cylindrical IP camera uses the digital wide dynamic range (D-WDR) function, and to improve the image quality in low light, it uses digital noise reduction filters (2D/3D DNR), which remove artifacts from the video signal that may be caused by a lack of light.
