The Smartec family of network equipment has been replenished with ST-NP001MA-MS PoE splitters, designed to supply power to IP cameras and other 12V equipment without PoE over Ethernet
The new products retain the convenience of using PoE technology for devices that do not support it, integrating between the PoE switch/PoE injector and the end device and allocating a 12 V power line with a standard 2.1×5.5 mm plug.
To power the device without PoE support, without laying unnecessary power wires from the mains, is the main function and advantage of using ST-NP001MA-MS PoE splitters. Embedded between a PoE switch (router) or a PoE injector and an end device, a PoE splitter divides an Ethernet line into a data transmission channel and a separate power output (Jack 2.1×5.5 mm), which is convenient for installing IP cameras without PoE, as well as network modules or other peripherals in hard-to-reach places.
Compatibility with popular ST-NP001MA-MS network equipment provides support for IEEE 802.3af/at standards and data transmission up to 100 Mbit/s. At the same time, the PoE splitter has an input PoE port and an RJ-45 output Data port, and at the output generates a stabilized voltage of 12 V DC up to 1 A - this is enough for most standard IP cameras without PTZ, including outdoor ones, as well as many other network devices.
A light indication and built-in surge protection make it easy to set up and operate a PoE splitter. The indication helps to quickly determine the presence of a connection and power supply, and protection against surge voltages (lightning protection) up to 4 kV and electrostatic discharges up to 8 kV reduces the risk of damage to the end equipment in case of induced impulses in the line and electrostatic discharges.
The splitter can be installed next to the powered device – in the mounting box, inside the enclosure or fastened with ties on a cable/bracket – thanks to its compact size and the absence of special installation requirements. At the same time, this PoE splitter is designed to operate at temperatures from -10 to +55 °C and humidity up to 90% (non-condensing). It should be noted that the ultra-compact dimensions and multi-variant installation make it possible to retain the advantages of PoE connection where connecting a separate power cable and using a power supply is inconvenient or impossible.
