Smartec Announces High-Sensitivity Full-Color STC-IPM4688A Camera for Outdoor Video Monitoring

The new STC-IPM4688A outdoor cameras stand out in the Smartec line with their ultra-high sensitivity, which allows for full-color imaging (Full Color) around the clock.

When the lack of external light is significant, this highly sensitive camera activates a built-in visible light, providing an illumination range of up to 40 meters (for the basic model). The STC-IPM4688A comes with a 4.5-8 mm motorized lens (F1.0 aperture), has a microphone and speaker, and supports various video analytics functions with the ability to detect unusual sounds, detect a person/vehicle in the frame, etc.

A distinctive feature of the STC-IPM4688A/1 is its ultra-high sensitivity, thanks to which the camera is capable of transmitting a realistic Full Color image without using backlighting up to 0.0001 lux, which is 3 times less than the light from the starry sky on a moonless night. For video monitoring in complete darkness, the highly sensitive Full Color STC-IPM4688A/1 camera uses backlighting in the visible range, the range of which is up to 40 meters for the basic model with a 4.5-8 mm motorized lens, and up to 60 meters for the modification with optional 8-32 mm long-focus optics.

The outdoor version of the STC-IPM4688A/1 enables operation in most Russian regions: this highly sensitive camera has an IP66-rated metal housing and can operate stably in an external temperature range from -40 to +55 °C. An additional advantage of the highly sensitive Full Color model is the use of a motorized lens. Such optics allow for high-precision remote adjustment of the focal length and focusing without having to open the camera housing, which is especially important for equipment used outdoors.

High efficiency of video monitoring in difficult lighting conditions, including contrast lighting, backlighting and background illumination, is achieved by using a super-sensitive 1/1.8-inch CMOS matrix, hardware WDR function and digital 2D/3D DNR noise reduction filters in the STC-IPM4688A/1. At the same time, the highly sensitive camera forms a brightness-balanced image of Full Color quality with a maximum resolution of 2688x1520 pixels (4 MP) and a refresh rate of 30 frames per second and supports three-stream video broadcasting with individually adjustable resolution, frame rate, bit rate and other parameters.

The camera's analytical functionality includes detectors for detecting human figures, faces, vehicles in the frame and capturing their images. At the same time, the highly sensitive Full Color camera ensures recording of intrusion, crossing one or two virtual lines, loitering and movement in an unacceptable direction and is capable of counting people and tracking atypical sounds. To expand the functionality, the STC-IPM4688A/1 has a built-in microphone and speaker, as well as interfaces for connecting an external sensor and actuator, and a slot for a memory card up to 1 TB.
