
The range of City9 Set modular equipment from the Russian company Systeme Electric has been expanded with 2- and 4-pole selective residual current circuit breakers (RCCBs) with a short-circuit breaking capacity of 6 kA.
The new products are designed for nominal currents of 40 A and 63 A, have a sensitivity of 100 mA or 300 mA and comply with GOSTs and various technical regulations. These selective residual current switches provide reliable protection of people from electric shock during indirect contact, have a modern design, improved performance characteristics and are extremely easy to install.
A distinctive feature of the selective residual current circuit breakers from conventional RCDs from the City9 Set family is the support of the tripping time delay function, which ensures the coordination of operating characteristics with downstream differential protection devices. When a leakage current appears in a group line, only the group RCD is disconnected, thereby preserving the operability of the input selective RCD and maintaining safe operation of the entire electrical installation. At the same time, the electromechanical selective residual current circuit breaker is resistant to unwanted tripping during short-term voltage surges and effectively protects the circuit when the neutral conductor (N) is damaged.
The design advantages of selective residual current circuit breakers allow to significantly simplify their installation and performance monitoring. For example, to improve cooling, each City9 Set selective RCD has side heat-dissipating channels, and for the safest and most error-free installation, it is equipped with protective terminal shutters. At the same time, simple and quick fixation of such circuit breakers on a DIN rail is performed using a two-position clip. Moreover, the selective RCDs have a "Test" button for promptly checking the performance of the device.
Strict input/output quality control, compliance with GOSTs and regulations distinguish City9 Set selective RCDs in the electrical equipment market. Each selective RCD complies with GOST IEC 61009 (residual current tripping), GOST IEC 60898 and GOST IEC 60947 (overload and short-circuit tests, after which a trace remains on the moving contact), has a short-circuit breaking capacity of 6 kA and uses an upgraded platform (the City9 Set series has replaced the similar Easy9 line from Schneider Electric). City9 Set RCDs also fully comply with the requirements of technical regulations on the safety of low-voltage equipment, electromagnetic compatibility and restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical products.
The City9 Set residual current circuit breakers range, along with selective models, includes classic residual current circuit breakers (RCDs). They serve to prevent people from being hit by electric current during direct (10 or 30 mA) or indirect contact (100 or 300 mA), and also prevent fires in electrical installations and wiring (300 mA). Models with 2 and 4 poles, rated current of 25, 40, 63, 80 or 100 A and safety type A or AC are available. All classic and selective City9 Set RCDs can be installed in floor and apartment panels of residential buildings, as well as in distribution panels of administrative premises and chain stores.
