Outdoor Thermal Housing With Power Supply, Heating, And IR Illumination For Video Camera

The Smartec product line for video surveillance systems has been expanded with the STH-6230D-PSU2 rev.3 thermal housings, which ensure stable operation of the video camera at external temperatures from -55 to +50 °C.

The new outdoor thermal housing has a cast aluminum body that meets the IP66 class, a built-in camera power supply, an integrated sun visor and a standard bracket for wall mounting. To solve video surveillance tasks in low and zero illumination, the STH-6230D-PSU2 rev.3 is equipped with an IR illuminator with a range of up to 100 meters.

The lower limit of the operating temperature of -55 °C is achieved due to the fact that the STH-6230D-PSU2 rev.3 thermal housing is covered with heat-insulating material from the inside, which, together with two heaters, ensures stable operation of the camera in outdoor conditions. The heaters turn on and off automatically at external temperatures below/above -15/+25 °C, respectively. It is worth noting that one of the heaters is designed to prevent condensation on the walls and glass of the outdoor thermal housing , and the second is to maintain the working internal environment in low temperature conditions.

The presence of a built-in IR illuminator with a 100-meter illumination range allows for 24-hour video monitoring of outdoor facilities not equipped with artificial lighting systems using a thermal housing. Synchronization of the IR illuminator with switching the camera between day/night modes is performed through a sealed output of the thermal housing. The STH-6230D-PSU2 rev.3 model also includes a 3-amp power supply with an output voltage of 12 V DC, thanks to which the outdoor thermal housing is suitable for power supply of cameras with external power supply support.

The design advantage of the STH-6230D-PSU2 rev.3 is the side opening of the upper part of the case, which provides convenient access to the interior. At the same time, the outdoor thermal housing has a useful volume of 110x90x210 mm (in width, height and length), which is enough to install most models of standard form factor CCTV cameras. The ergonomic design of the STH-6230D-PSU2 rev.3 case simplifies not only the installation of the camera, but also its further maintenance. In addition, the thermal housing is equipped with a standard bracket and has an integrated sun visor.
