Occupancy control and group access

AAM Systems has implemented a new project to control the number of people and occupancy of premises for a large banking client

The solution is aimed at improving the level of physical security and compliance with strict industry requirements, including the regulations of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the PCI DSS standard.

As part of the case, a system for recording and limiting the presence of employees in premises for various purposes was introduced, as well as a group access mechanism was implemented. The entire logic of work is based on the APACS software and hardware complex (AAM Systems).

Turnstiles with card and code readers are installed at the entrances, technical doors are equipped with reinforced locks, and access control is carried out using AAM-LAN controllers (AAM Systems). Controllers are able to autonomously execute specified scenarios, including controlling limits and group composition, even when there is no connection to the server. The system is integrated with video surveillance - during access events, recording and image output to the operator is automatically activated.

The solution supports several key scenarios. For high-security premises, group access is implemented: entry is possible only upon simultaneous presentation of two to four unique identifiers (card and PIN code). The system checks the composition of the group and records all the employees who have entered. Exit is carried out only by the same participants, which eliminates the risk of blocking people inside the room.

Maximum occupancy control has been set up for technical and operational areas. When the set limit is reached, access is automatically blocked even for authorized employees, and the operator receives a corresponding notification.

The system generates reports on group passes, exceeding limits, and unauthorized access attempts, ensuring transparency and readiness for internal and external inspections.

As a result of the project, the bank received a reliable tool for monitoring presence in critical areas, and the security service received the ability to monitor the occupancy of the premises in real time. Successful implementation at the head office became the basis for further scaling of the solution in regional divisions.
