New Tonmind: SIP-S51 IP Sound Spotlight With SIP/ONVIF/PoE Support

expo electronica

It is designed for targeted transmission of recorded messages, "live" speech and high-quality background music as part of video surveillance systems, alerts, etc., and is easily integrated into them as an IP device. It is worth noting that this sound projector has a compact cylindrical housing with IP55 protection class, can be powered by a 12 V DC source or via PoE technology, is equipped with an alarm input and has a 2-year brand warranty.

Integration capabilities allow using the SIP-S51 IP floodlight loudspeaker to broadcast live and pre-recorded voice announcements, signals and music upon operator command, alarm event or schedule within the framework of sound notification and security systems. At the same time, the sound floodlight implements communication with SIP devices, including IP PBX, IP phones, and VoIP systems via the SIP protocol. SIP-S51 users have access to two SIP accounts, direct IP SIP call and RTP multicast. In particular, this sound floodlight can interact with VMS platforms via ONVIF, and directly with IP cameras of the video surveillance system.

The acoustic features of the SIP-S51 model allow audio information to be transmitted to the required distance without sound “expansion”, and the use of several sound projectors allows distributing audio streams in the right directions and zoning sound information in rooms of any layout. Due to this, the sound projector is ideal for equipping shopping and business centers, educational, medical and sports institutions, exhibition complexes, etc. To reduce the bandwidth and greatly improve the sound quality, the SIP-S51 supports the progressive OPUS audio codec with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz, as well as other formats (MP3 44.1 kHz, G.722 ADPCM 16 kHz, etc.).

The protected housing (IP55) made of ABS plastic and the extended range of operating temperatures allow the device to be used indoors, including unheated ones. Using the standard mounting bracket, the sound projector can be mounted both on the wall and on the ceiling, and the hinged housing mount allows you to select the direction of sound propagation with high accuracy. The presence of an alarm input allows you to launch a pre-recorded message on a signal, for example, from a security alarm, etc., and support for PoE technology eliminates the need to allocate a local power source, although it is also provided.

In addition to the SIP-S51 sound projector, Tonmind also offers other audio equipment that uses a 15W audio amplifier. These are the SIP-S01, SIP-S01M loudspeakers and SIP-S01A satellite speakers, which are flush-mounted into the ceiling of the room, the SIP-S11, SIP-S11H and SIP-S12 devices for wall mounting and the SIP-S21, SIP-S21H and SIP-S22 horn models, designed for installation indoors in large areas or at outdoor facilities. Tonmind products are managed by Audio Manager software and PA System software in Lite and Pro versions with support for Linux and MS Windows operating systems, as well as the PA Connect mobile application for iOS and Android platforms.

The Securika Moscow 2026 exhibition will be held from April 22 to 24 at the Crocus Expo IEC, Pavilion 3.
