Smartec's range of network equipment has been replenished with the ST-NI001GA-GS PoE power injector, designed to connect remote devices up to 100 m to the network, such as IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points and IP/video phones, and power them via Ethernet cable.
The novelty supports PoE IEEE802.3af/at standards, provides power for the connected device up to 15 W and has a bandwidth of up to 1000 Mbps. In addition, the PoE power injector is equipped with status indication, lightning protection up to 4 kV and ESD protection up to 8 kV, and operates stably in a wide temperature range - from -10 to +55 °C.
The high bandwidth allows the ST-NI001GA-GS PoE injector to be used where large volumes of traffic are required, such as high-definition video streaming (up to 4K) and video analytics metadata processing. The device is designed with two ports, Data and PoE, which are equipped with RJ-45 connectors and support data transfer speeds of up to 1 Gbps. With support for IEEE802.3af and IEEE802.3at standards, the PoE power injector provides compatibility with a wide range of network equipment, while ensuring stable power supply and data transmission at distances of up to 100 m.
The compact dimensions of the ST-NI001GA-GS model – 115 x 50 x 31 mm – allow for a wide range of installation options: in cabinets with network equipment, communication racks or other places where it is convenient to supply power and mains to the injector. To inform the user about the connection status and power supply, the PoE power injector is equipped with a light indication that simplifies the installation and diagnostics of the device. The ST-NI001GA-GS has lightning protection up to 4 kV and electrostatic discharge protection (ESD) up to 8 kV significantly reduces the likelihood of damage to equipment due to voltage surges and static electricity.
