The basic elements of the IP212-75SF fire detector are a transceiver and a reflector-reflector, the distance between which can be adjusted in the range from 5 to 120 m for effective detection of fires in rooms of various sizes. A two-chamber optical system with optical channels isolated from each other, which these linear fire detectors are equipped with, helps reduce false alarms of devices . In this case, one channel is used to form a narrow optical beam sent to the reflector, and the second for focusing and receiving optical radiation reflected from the reflector.
The well-thought-out design of the optical system allows minimizing the influence of interference between the receiver and transmitter channels of the linear detector. It is also reliably protected from the penetration of insects and dust, while it has elements for damping the side lobes of the directional diagram caused by the reflection of the optical beam from the internal walls. It is worth noting that the IP212-75SF linear fire detectors use lenses made of selectively transparent material, impermeable to visible light and freely transmitting infrared radiation.
The operation of the IP212-75SF detector "out of the box" is available as part of the addressable communication line "SHA" of the Smartec Vesta 01F fire alarm system. For remote control and testing of the fire detector's operability, the SF-VUK remote device is used, which is included in the delivery set, and the SF-UKL laser pointer, which ensures easy adjustment, and the SF-T tester, which facilitates commissioning and subsequent maintenance, are available as an option. To assess the current state, the linear fire detectors have two LED indicators on the body.
The design features of the IP212-75SF linear detector allow it to be used for fire protection of premises with complex layout solutions and operating conditions due to a large area, high ceilings (up to 21 m) and the presence of structures that prevent the spread of smoke flows, such as beams, protrusions, utility system equipment, ventilation openings, etc. In this case, linear fire detectors are triggered when the intensity of the optical beam (relative to a smoke-free environment) decreases to the following threshold values: by 20%, 30%, 40% or 50% (optional).
