
ARMO-Systems Presents Smartec ST-LR430 UHF Reader, Designed to Solve Long-Range Identification Tasks within the Framework of Vehicle Passage Control Systems
The Wiegand 26/34 output guarantees the compatibility of the device with various access control systems, and RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces allow it to be integrated into third-party systems. To prevent false positives, the UHF reader supports operation in the ID and reader password matching mode, and the recognition of unique TID codes of cards allows it to be used in systems with high security requirements.
By using a high-performance next-generation Impinj E710 radio chip with improved sensitivity and a circularly polarized antenna, the ST-LR430 provides stable reading of passive UHF cards regardless of their spatial position. The card reading distance of up to 15 meters allows the new UHF reader to be used in automated parking systems, and the driver does not need to get out of the car and even roll down the window to pass identification. To prevent false positives from third-party cards or tags, the ST-LR430 supports operation in reader and ID password matching mode.
The outdoor version of the ST-LR430 model allows you to install the reader at the entrance to the parking lot without additional protection, since it is protected against moisture and dust according to IP65 class and works stably in the range of external temperatures from -35 to +60 °C and humidity up to 95%. The included bracket allows you to mount the UHF reader on a pole and adjust its tilt to optimize the coverage area. Easy integration into various access control systems is carried out via the Wiegand interface 26 or 34 (optional), which is used to communicate with the controller.
The scope of application of the ST-LR430 is not limited to work as part of vehicle passage control systems. Due to the high identification speed of up to 1000 cards/tags per second, this UHF reader can be used, for example, for logistical tasks such as cargo control and inventory accounting in warehouses, freight railway stations, as well as in agriculture – for tracking the movement of animals. For integration with third-party systems, the reader is equipped with RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces, and is also equipped with a relay output to which external actuators can be connected and controlled using user software or by signal from identifiers with a certain code.
