New Outdoor Thermal Housing Wizebox For IP Cameras Operation From -60 To +50 °C

The product line of Wizebox, the largest Russian developer and manufacturer of protective climate control equipment for video surveillance systems, has been expanded with a new outdoor thermal housing WHT465IP-S1.

This model complies with the IP66 protection class and is designed for stable operation of the IP camera in a wide range of temperatures - from -60 to +50 °C, and the use of special technical solutions made it possible to eliminate fogging of the viewing window of the thermal housing or the appearance of ice on it. The new Wizebox thermal housing has a body and bracket made of stainless steel, a sun visor, and a viewing window made of special optical monolithic polycarbonate, which eliminates the appearance of optical distortions during continuous operation.

The WHT465IP-S1 housing, as well as the bracket and fasteners, are made of stainless steel, and gaskets made of silicone rubber compound are used for sealing, which ensures complete protection of the interior of the housing from environmental influences in accordance with the IP66 class. A special optical monolithic polycarbonate is used for the manufacture of the viewing window, which does not allow optical distortions. Thanks to the well-thought-out design, the assembled Wizebox housing weighs 4 kg, while the standard bracket can withstand a maximum load of 12.5 kg with a safety factor of 2.6.

The significant useful volume (290x105x91 mm) allows you to install almost any model of IP camera in the Wizebox thermal housing , including large ones. At the same time, the housing is designed for cameras with a supply voltage of 12 V and a maximum power consumption of 10 W. To prevent optics from being exposed to light in sunny weather, this thermal housing is equipped with a sun visor. Convenient opening of the WHT465IP-S1 housing allows you to service the IP camera and make its settings and adjustments at any time.

Uniform heating of the internal space of the WHT465IP-S1 thermal housing for stable operation of the IP camera at low temperatures down to -60 °C is provided by a built-in heater. In addition to it, the Wizebox thermal housing is equipped with a viewing window heater, which prevents it from icing or fogging during operation, which ensures the formation of a clear informative image on the IP camera matrix regardless of weather conditions. Both heaters are switched on and off automatically by a signal from a temperature sensor.
