The line of low-cost ACS solutions has been replenished with standalone controllers with Smartec ST-SC244M reader, designed for installation both indoors and outdoors
The device provides the functionality of a basic access control system at facilities with up to 1000 employees and can be integrated with external readers or controllers via Wiegand 26/34. The built-in reader works with MIFARE proximity cards, and the device comes with not only a master card, but also an IR remote control for maximum programming convenience. The relay of the lock connected to the controller can operate in both pulse and trigger mode.
A fully autonomous access control system for medium and small enterprises - up to 1000 employees - can be implemented on the basis of the ST-SC244M controller. The device implements the basic functionality of access control and management, combining a standalone controller with a reader. When installed at large facilities, the novelty can be used in parallel with the ACS network system, using it for additional protection of especially important premises or for the protection of premises remote from the main system (for example, warehouses).
Two options for programming the controller are provided by the manufacturer - using a master card or through an infrared remote control, which are included in the delivery set. Both the master card and the remote control allow you to add and remove valid card codes or card groups, and when using the remote control, this standalone controller with reader will be able to delete the card code without the card being present. This makes it possible not to depend on the presence of a card, which is especially important if it is lost.
An access control system based on this controller can be modified by connecting an external reader or an external controller of the appropriate format, using the ST-SC244M only as a reader. This is possible due to the presence of Wiegand 26 or Wiegand 34 output, and the type of output interface is selected by the customer.
The outdoor design of the controller is implemented due to a durable metal case with dust and moisture protection according to the IP68 class, in the presence of a special coating of the electronic boards of the device made of polymer resins. Wide range of operating temperatures (-40...+60 ⁰ C) and humidity (10... 90%) allows you to install and use this standalone controller with a reader outdoors all year round. For ease of operation, there is a three-color indication of the status of the reader and a buzzer that gives a sound signal.
