The lock body is made of anodized aluminum, the anchor has a special zinc coating and, together with the spring mechanism, prevents residual magnetization, and the built-in magnetic contact sensor monitors the door position. It is worth noting that the locks with a controller support power from a 12 or 24 V source, have a wide selection of optional mounting adapters and provide a holding force of 320 to 340 kg.
The design advantage of the ST-EL324DL-SL is the presence of a mounting place for installing a stand-alone controller measuring no more than 55x43x23 mm, for example, the ST-SC101 model. Thus, by retrofitting the entrance group with a reader and an exit button, you can organize a full-fledged ACS for one door with the minimum necessary functionality. Due to the fact that the locks with the controller provide a holding force of 320–340 kg, they can be used for installation on the doors of offices, industrial buildings, apartment buildings, etc. In addition, the ST-EL340DL-SL can be used on emergency exit doors, since in the event of a power outage it brings the door to an unlocked state.
Correct operation of ST-EL324DL-SL is ensured by a number of supported functions. For example, new locks with a controller constantly monitor the position of the door leaf so that the system has information about the current state of the access point. To do this, they use a magnetic contact sensor with a monitoring output (NC, COMMON), which sends a signal to the built-in or external ACS controller, and a response magnet built into the lock anchor. These locks also have a special zinc coating of the anchor, which, together with the spring mechanism, allows to overcome residual magnetization after removing the voltage. A single-color light indicator provides a visual assessment of the device's state.
Optional adapters expand the mounting options of the ST-EL324DL-SL. If the locks with the controller are installed on doors that open outward, but the depth of the door frame does not allow direct installation of the lock, you can use the ST-EL324BL-SL (type L) or ST-EL324BLC-SL (type LC) adapters. It is worth noting that the second bracket has the ability to adjust the extension of the lock from the door, and its cover allows you to hide the mounting elements of the lock and wiring, which gives the entrance group a more aesthetic appearance and protects the lock from failure.
