The new frequency converters from the SystemeVar STV630 series from the Russian company Systeme Electric have compact dimensions, a built-in control panel (LCD/LED) and support specialized functions for the operation of pumping and fan equipment. The SystemeVar STV630 series includes 36 models, from which you can choose a frequency converter with a supply voltage of 1P 220 V or 3P 380 V and a motor power from 0.4 to 630 kW. At the same time, all the frequency converters of this series are equipped with an EMC filter of class C3 and a protective coating of class 3C3 boards, support fire mode, and their commissioning and status monitoring is carried out using the free SystemeVAR Tool software.
SystemeVar STV630 are low-voltage frequency converters with a control panel, which are developed in accordance with the requirements of Russian industrial enterprises and infrastructure facilities and ensure rational operation of pumps, uninterrupted operation of fans and protection of compressors. They have compact dimensions, thoughtful design and a wide range of functions, which allows you to implement the most complex solutions with their use, requiring maximum performance and reliability, optimize the operation of mechanisms and protect them depending on the specifics of operation. In particular, SystemeVar STV630 support a fire mode of operation, fully compliant with GOST R 53325-2012, and are ready, without the "start" command, to carry out diagnostics of the motor cable.
Specialized functions for optimizing the operation of pumps and fans in various applications are implemented in all SystemeVar STV630 models. Thus, when the frequency converter operates with pumps, you can use the "multi-pump" mode to control the operation of up to 4 small pumps, the "contamination removal" mode to remove blockages on the pump impeller, in pipes or valves, as well as the "double ramp" function, which reduces the pump operating time at critical speeds. For a smooth start of the fan without jerks and jolts, the frequency converter with the control panel supports the "catch-on-the-fly" mode. It is worth noting that using the digital output, the SystemeVar STV630 controls its own network contactor, disconnecting them from the power grid in order to reduce energy loss when the engine is not running.
Extended service life and overall efficiency are achieved by using a bypass that switches the motor between the converter and the grid. SystemeVar frequency converters with a control panel use a PID controller that allows switching pumps to sleep mode to avoid energy loss during frequent starts/stops during periods of low load and/or high pressure in the pipes. When operating in ECO mode, the STV630 series devices save up to 40% of energy by changing the output voltage to minimize power consumption. STV630 frequency converters also implement algorithms for protection against dry running of pumps, water hammer, freezing, condensation and abnormal loads.
Support of the Modbus RTU communication protocol by SystemeVar STV630 devices ensures easy integration of the equipment into various automation systems. At the same time, frequency converters for motors with a power of ≥4 kW have unique capabilities for expanding communications using additional Modbus TCP and BACnet MS/TP cards. At the same time, they support the installation of an input/output expansion card (2 DI, 3 RO) and connection of a PTC temperature sensor. For visual monitoring of the device status, each frequency converter with a control panel is equipped with an LED indicator, which is built into the housing and changes color depending on the current status: blue - "ready for operation", green - "work" and red - "fault".
The high performance characteristics of the SystemeVar STV630 models are ensured by their design features. Due to a wide range of operating temperatures (from -20 to +50 °C) and class 3C3 printed circuit board coating, these frequency converters can operate in adverse external conditions, including in close proximity to industrial sources of chemical emissions. In addition, each frequency converter with a control panel from the SystemeVar STV630 series is equipped with a built-in class C3 EMC filter, which ensures high electromagnetic compatibility by reducing high-frequency feedback effects on the network. Some models have a built-in DC link choke (DC reactor), protecting the device from voltage surges and transient processes in the power system.
