The built-in reader works with EM Marine standard cards at a frequency of 125 kHz and provides their identification at distances of 3-6 cm. At the same time, the controller with the reader allows for both pulse and trigger operation modes of the lock control relay, is equipped with a photoresistor-based tamper sensor and is supplied in a protected metal case for outdoor use.
A high-strength housing with IP68 dust/moisture protection rating allows the controller with the reader to be used both indoors and outdoors, for example, by installing it on the front door. At the same time, thanks to the protection of the controller's electronic boards with a thin film of polymer resins, ST-SC342E can operate smoothly in the temperature range from -40 to +60⁰ C at humidity up to 90%. To monitor the opening of the housing, the controller with the reader is equipped with a sensor based on a photoresistor, and when an attempt is made to remove the device from the mounting base, it activates a light and sound alarm.
Using the IR remote control or master card, which are included in the kit, you can quickly and conveniently program the controller with the ST-SC342E reader. They allow you to add new and delete current codes of Em Marine identification cards to the controller database. At the same time, registration of new cards and deletion of used cards can be performed either one by one or in groups in case of changing a large number of identifiers. It is worth noting that, unlike the master card, the IR remote control has greater functionality, since it allows you to delete codes of individual cards without their physical presence, including in case of loss.
Support for pulse and trigger operation modes of the lock relay allows you to implement various scenarios for passing through an access point on the basis of ST-SC342E. So, if the controller with the reader uses the pulse relay control mode, then in the case of correct user identification, the lock will be opened for a specified period of time (the time is programmable). If the relay is configured for the "trigger" mode, then to lock the unlocked door, the controller with the reader will wait for re-identification in the system. The trigger mode allows you to keep the unlocked state for a long time, for example, during working hours.
