Smartec's range now includes a compact contactless reader ST-PR022MF-WT of the MIFARE standard, designed for use in budget access control systems.
The new product functions stably in the temperature range from -40° to +60°C, has a durable plastic case and is distinguished by a high level of vandal resistance, so this contactless reader can be installed both indoors and outdoors. For visual monitoring of the status, the ST-PR022MF-WT is equipped with light and sound indication, and for connection to ACS controllers of any manufacturer - a universal Wiegand 34/58 interface.
Support for MIFARE contactless identification technology (the most common in the world) allows using the ST-PR022MF-WT reader in access control systems at a variety of sites. The presence of the Wiegand output guarantees compatibility of the device with virtually any access control system, while the Wiegand 34 format is used to support smart cards with UID 4B, and Wiegand 58 for cards with UID 7B. For all MIFARE cards, the contactless reader provides an identification range in the range of 3–8 cm, which is optimal for ACS of office buildings, warehouses, store utility rooms, as well as for accounting of personnel working hours.
The outdoor version of the reader allows it to be used both indoors and outdoors in the temperature range from -40° to +60°C. This contactless reader is supplied in a shockproof white plastic case, providing high-quality protection from vandals and atmospheric influences in accordance with the IP68 class, and its electronic parts are protected by a polymer compound. The laconic design of the ST-PR022MF-WT model case is supplemented only by light and sound status indication for the convenience of users. At the same time, the reader has an optimal price-quality ratio and is suitable for budget solutions with high reliability requirements.
The ST-PR022MF-WT reader can be used with PCxxxxx series smart cards, which are made of 1.8 mm thick ABS plastic or 0.8 mm thick PVC. Regardless of the model, they have sufficient mechanical strength and are protected from static electricity and electromagnetic fields. If necessary, any image can be applied to both surfaces of the card using direct printing or special stickers. This contactless reader also allows you to use ST-PTxxxMF series identifiers, which are available as bracelets or keychains.
