The Russian company Avada Systems has released the AWADA DA2-SEN301BK ceiling sensor for registering the presence of people and measuring illumination from a height of up to 8.5 meters.
The new product supports the DALI 2 protocol (IEC 62386-101/103/105/303/304/332 standards) for operation as part of the AWADA automated lighting control system. This ceiling presence sensor has an original housing and a black lens for installation in dark ceiling structures, uses an infrared sensor with a detection zone viewing angle of 99°, compares favorably with its analogues in low power consumption, about 2 mA, and an extended manufacturer's warranty of up to 5 years.
The original design of the DA2-SEN301BK – in a black case and with a darkened lens – allows the sensor to harmoniously fit into the interior of rooms with dark ceilings, be it offices, exhibition halls, restaurants or other facilities where automated lighting control is required. In the standard configuration, this ceiling presence sensor is designed for built-in installation, but thanks to the availability of an optional black mounting box, its installation is also possible using the surface-mounted method. At the same time, the DA2-SEN301BK case provides dust resistance according to the IP50 standard, compliance with class II protection against electric shock, as well as increased strength and resistance to mechanical impacts.
The high efficiency of the AWADA sensor is achieved by using a highly sensitive infrared sensor with a 99-degree viewing angle. With its help, the ceiling presence sensor is able to register moving objects in 192 zones and the slightest activity in the controlled area, even the movements of a person working at a computer. When mounted on the ceiling at a height of 6 meters, DA2-SEN301BK provides control of an area with a diameter of 14 meters, and from a height of 2.5 meters it covers an area with a diameter of 6 meters. The maximum installation height of the ceiling presence sensor is 8.5 m. It is worth noting that at a height of more than 8.5 m, to ensure sufficient sensitivity, it is recommended to use several sensors combined into one light zone.
Completely domestic development and production allowed AWADA sensors to be included in the register of Russian industrial products (PP RF 719) and the unified register of Russian radio-electronic products (PP RF 878). Due to the use of high-quality components that replace and surpass foreign analogues, the DA2-SEN301BK ceiling presence sensor has a warranty period of 60 months (5 years). Due to the support of remote connection, updating the firmware of these devices does not require either their dismantling or physical access to them. For the most comfortable lighting control, DA2-SEN301BK can be used together with the comprehensive AWADA solution.
