All Smartec panels are equipped with their own central processing unit (CPU) for autonomous operation in the event of a communication disruption and can be networked together for comprehensive management. Other features of the Smartec fire automation system include the use of a two-wire ring loop, control of fire automatics, smoke removal, notification, etc., monitoring using Timex HMB and integration with video surveillance, access control and security alarm systems.
