Now, at oil, gas, coal and chemical industry facilities where equipment must meet explosion protection requirements, it is possible to organize, within the framework of loudspeaker communication systems, the transmission of messages at a significant distance from the wall-mounted intercom, and the speaker can even move while transmitting messages. This option is intended for explosion-proof intercoms "Linsis" of the UPG-ExM series.
The "active remote microphone" option expands the range of advantages of the Linsys loudspeaker system when used indoors and/or in open spaces where it is necessary to transmit messages while being away from the intercom station. Now all explosion-proof intercoms of the UPG-ExM series can be equipped with an active remote microphone on a cable up to 30 m long. This solution allows users not only to transmit messages at a remote distance from the intercom, but also to move while transmitting messages. In this case, during operation, a special sleeve can be used to protect the microphone cable from adverse external conditions (for example, in a hot metallurgical shop) or from possible mechanical damage.
The UPG-ExM family of intercom stations are used as terminal devices of the SGS and serve as one of the key components of the Linsys loudspeaker communication system at explosive sites. These explosion-proof wall-mounted intercoms are designed for use both indoors and outdoors, as they operate stably at external temperatures from -55 to +55 °C. To further expand the capabilities of the loudspeaker communication system, these intercoms optionally support connection via an intrinsically safe circuit of such equipment as a telephone handset, remote microphone (push-to-talk), dispatcher pedal, headset, etc.
A wide range of UPG-ExM series intercoms, certified for use in zones of classes 1 and 2 with explosive mixture categories IIA/IIB/IIC and temperature classes from T1 to T6 (according to GOST 31610.0-2014), allows implementing various scenarios of loudspeaker communication at fire- and explosion-hazardous facilities. Thus, the basic models of general industrial and explosion-proof design UPG-78 and UPG-ExM isp. 78, respectively, are placed in a case made of high-strength plastic that is especially resistant to aggressive environments. The models are equipped with a built-in speaker and up to 6 direct call buttons. Compact explosion-proof intercoms UPG-ExM isp. 02 are equipped with one or two direct call buttons and are available in a metal case. Depending on the project objectives, you can select a solution with Ethernet, SHDSL or an analog interface for communication with the central equipment of the Linsys public address and notification system.
