Compact EM Card Reader ST-PR012EM-BK with a Protected Case

New compact contactless readers Smartec ST-PR012EM-BK of Em Marine (EM) standard are designed for budget access control systems.

They operate stably in the temperature range from -45 to +60°C, have a durable plastic case and are distinguished by a high level of vandal/dust/moisture protection, which allows installing EM readers both indoors and outdoors. The identification distance of EM cards for the ST-PR012EM-BK model varies from 3 to 6 cm. In addition, these devices are equipped with light and sound status indication and a Wiegand 26/34 interface (optional) for connection to ACS controllers of any manufacturer.

The outdoor version of the ST-PR012EM-BK reader guarantees its stable operation in various environmental conditions. This EM reader has an IP68 protection rating and can be used both indoors and outdoors, in the external temperature range from -45° to +60°C, at humidity up to 95%. The electronic parts of the device are protected by a polymer compound, and the durable plastic case provides reliable protection from vandals. The compact dimensions of the ST-PR012EM-BK case (82 x 42 x 18 mm) and laconic design in black make it possible to harmoniously fit the EM reader into almost any interior, and the light and sound indication provides additional convenience in use.

Compatibility with EM identifiers from various manufacturers adds versatility to the ST-PR012EM-BK model. The manufacturer recommends using the EM reader with Smartec ST-PCхххEM series access cards, which are made of 1.6 mm thick ABS plastic or 0.8 mm thick PVC and, regardless of the model, have sufficient mechanical strength and are protected from static electricity and electromagnetic fields. In addition to plastic cards, the ST-PR012EM-BK reader can be used with ST-PTхххEM series identifiers, which are available as bracelets or keychains.
