Smartec's STC-IPM5540A rev.2 OPTi IP dome camera based on a new chipset is introduced, which uses Sony's 1/2.8" CMOS sensor for 5 MP resolution and high light sensitivity, and has an improved user menu
The new 5 MP IP dome camera is equipped with a 2.8 mm lens, microphone, IR illumination spotlight with a range of up to 30 meters and is designed for operation at -40 ... +60 °C. Due to its compact size, wide operating temperature range and the implementation of functions to improve image quality depending on external light conditions, the STC-IPM5540A rev.2 OPTi model can be used for both outdoor and indoor video surveillance.
Depending on the required image parameters, the STC-IPM5540A rev.2 OPTi IP dome camera provides a choice of H.265/H.264 video codec, bitrate adjustment in the range from 0.5 to 8 Mbps, as well as resolution and frame rate settings of up to 5 MP (2592x1944 pixels) and 30 fps, respectively. Like other models of the second-generation OPTi budget line, the 5 MP ONVIF dome IP camera is compatible and is suitable for working as part of multi-brand security systems running software from various developers. To implement local video recording, STC-IPM5540A rev.2 OPTi supports SD memory card.
The STC-IPM5540A rev.2 OPTi IP camera, combined with digital image enhancement functions, provides reliable round-the-clock video surveillance. The 5 MP dome IP camera has a fairly high light sensitivity (0.01 lux) and is equipped with a spotlight based on 18 IR LEDs with a backlight range of up to 30 meters. The STC-IPM5540A rev.2 OPTi's High Dynamic Range Digital Algorithms (D-WDR) allow you to get a balanced image from the 5 MP IP camera in contrasting lighting, backlight, backlight, backlight, etc., and 2D/3D DNR filters effectively remove noise.
The compact size of the dome housing of the 5 MP IP camera, protection from external influences (IP66) and support for stable operation in the temperature range from -40 to +60 °C allow the novelty to be used both for video surveillance in outdoor and indoor conditions. The presence of a built-in microphone increases the operator's awareness of the situation at the protected facility. Thanks to the 3-axis articulated mount of the video module, the 5 MP dome IP camera can be installed on both horizontal and vertical surfaces with subsequent selection of the video shooting angle. To simplify installation, the STC-IPM5540A rev.2 OPTi supports the choice of power supply - directly from a 12 V DC source or via PoE technology via the RJ45 port, and the power consumption does not exceed 8 W.
