This power supply has a PoE+ power budget of 240 W, which is one and a half times more than its predecessor, and ensures a smooth start of the PoE switch for video surveillance and stable operation in low temperatures. Since the beginning of 2025, ARMO-Systems has been supplying TFortis PSW +Box and +UPS-Box switches with a new high-power power supply.
Along with the increased PoE+ 240W power budget, the new power supply for the switch has such advantages as high efficiency (93%) and power factor (0.98). In addition, the PoE switch for video surveillance with the new power supply performs a smooth start, i.e. the activation of protective devices during startup under load is excluded. The completely original development of the product by TFortis engineers and a higher proportion of Russian components, compared to the previously used device, made it possible to equip the new power supply, in particular, with the ability to operate stably even in extremely low temperatures, which was confirmed during the manufacturer's tests.
A powerful power supply unit is supplied with the TFortis PSW PoE switches of the +Box and +UPS-Box series, which includes 6 outdoor models that differ in the number of 10/100Base-Tx ports with an RJ-45 connector for connecting video surveillance cameras and the presence/absence of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Thus, the PSW-2G8F+(UPS-)Box models are designed to service 8 cameras, and the PSW-2G6F+(UPS-)Box and PSW-2G+(UPS-)Box – 6 and 4, respectively. The presence of the UPS index means that the PoE switch for video surveillance has a built-in UPS. The maximum power supplied to the ports of the TFortis PSW switches can reach 60 W.
Earlier, Fort Telecom announced that all TFortis PSW outdoor switches are certified according to the RF Government Resolution No. 969 "On Transport Security" and are included in the Unified Register of Russian Radio-Electronic Products (TORP). And since January 9, 2025, TFortis PoE switches for video surveillance have also been included in the register of Russian industrial products, which is formed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in accordance with the RF Government Resolution No. 719 of July 17, 2015. The presence of switches in this register expands the possibilities of their use in infrastructure projects.
