61st Series Of EVS Cameras

The standard of video surveillance: from the Arctic to the tropics

Since its introduction in 2024, the 61 Series of megapixel IP cameras has remained one of the widest operating temperature range solutions in its class. EVS engineers have created devices that guarantee stable and uninterrupted operation in truly extreme ambient temperatures—from -50°C to +50°C.

This climate resistance makes the 61 series an ideal choice for perimeter security systems and critical industrial facilities in regions with harsh winters or hot summers. These cameras withstand extreme cold and scorching heat, ensuring high-quality video surveillance in any weather conditions.

For Arctic regions, modifications designed to withstand temperatures down to -60°C are available, while for tropical regions, they can withstand temperatures down to +60°C. Even after its release, this climate-specific safety margin remains a key competitive advantage for the series.

Technical excellence and reliability

In addition to outstanding climate resistance, the 61 series represents a significant advancement over the previous 57 line. This engineering solution combines high image quality, improved performance, and a more competitive price.

Key improvements of the new line:

  • Startup speed . Cameras are now ready to use in just 8 seconds (versus 45 seconds for their predecessors). This significantly reduces setup and reboot time.
  • Save traffic and disk space . Support for the H.265 codec allows for clearer video transmission with significantly less data compared to H.264.
  • Reliability . Optimized circuit design and modern component base.
  • Easy setup . Remote focus and zoom control.

The cameras are equipped with highly sensitive Sony sensors (IMX 327/335/415) with a resolution of up to 8 MP, support dual-stream video transmission in H.265, H.264, and MJPEG formats, and have a wide range of features for adapting to challenging video surveillance conditions: intelligent switching of the IR filter "day/night", "Anti-fog" mode, a built-in two-coordinate sharpness corrector, and an effective noise reduction system.

Full support of the ONVIF standard guarantees compatibility of EVS cameras with video surveillance systems from other manufacturers.

The 32nd International Exhibition of Security Equipment and Fire Safety Equipment Securika Moscow will be held April 21–23, 2027, at the Crocus Expo IEC.
